    I'm A New Mommy!

    Hello, I am Raine, the slash-hater, procrastinator, anti-inflation, no-imitation, prudish, accomplished, intellectual, nerd actual, Deviant!
    Today’s important message: KILL SLASH-SHIPPING FAN-GIRLS! (Draco and Harry don’t love each other; go stick your fingers in an electric pencil sharpener…;)

    On January 30th, 2008 the two most beautiful babies were born! Mommy Molly and Daddy Phineus blessed me with these two little girls.

    Hartwig is a bold little thing, inquisitive to a fault and eager to be held, where as Nani is very shy and timid, cautious but oh-so-sweet. Hartwig usually hangs out in the tower while Nani chills in the tiki hut.
    I will tell you how I named them, they are in honor of my Grandfather who I miss very much. 'Hartwig' is German -like my Grandfather- and it means "Brave War". Nani is Hawaiian, a place my Grandfather truly loved, and it means "Beautiful".
    Being a new mommy is hard, I worry about them all the time, and handle them with care and am sure not to favor one of the other. I feed them, pet them, help them explore...keep my stupid cats away from them.
    They are tiny now, but they will grow, thus why I have 10,000 pictures of them right now, so I can look back and remember how tiny my girls were and smile.
    They came from a breeder and they are very healthy.
    They are a Standard Fancy Rat, with black and white markings.

    Rats can actually be trained to be diurnal. if you play with them during the day, keep their cage dark in the day and light at night, and so forth, they quickly become accustomed to your routine. Also, they are not that loud, well, mine aren't at least, and they stay in my room
